Solve proportions, ratios and everyday math problems
Everyday math problems often come down to a proportion, a ratio, or a simple algebraic setup. Our math tools solve these problems step by step so you can check homework, scale recipes, resize designs, and work through practical ratio questions without setting up the algebra by hand.

Why Proportions Show Up Everywhere
A proportion is just two ratios set equal to each other, and that pattern describes an enormous number of real problems. If two cups of flour make twelve cookies, how much flour makes thirty? If a 4 by 6 photo is enlarged so the long side becomes 15 inches, how tall is the short side? If 3 out of 20 students missed the last quiz, how many is that in a class of 32? Each of these is one proportion and one cross multiplication away from an answer.
How Our Tools Approach Math
Every math tool on the site shows you the formula it used, not just the final number. That way you can hand the working to a student, sanity check the result, or copy the setup into a spreadsheet. We also flag inputs that would divide by zero or produce nonsense, so you never walk away with a misleading answer.
