Water freezes at 32 degrees Fahrenheit (0 degrees Celsius, 273.15 Kelvin) and boils at 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius, 373.15 Kelvin). Normal human body temperature is about 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit or 37 degrees Celsius. Room temperature is generally considered to be 68 to 72 degrees Fahrenheit (20 to 22 degrees Celsius). These reference points help you develop an intuitive sense for the other scale.
